I recommend you guys to implement an auto draft functionality!

Well I believe there are many ways of doing that.
I would do it by simply saving the post on a temporary table before the user session expires itself.

The user would be able to retrieve his draft posts from a new menu item (only for registered users).
It would require some development time to extend the forum functionality.
