After another annoying batch of JomSocial bug-fixing, I notice two things that really aren't the best:-

1. The 'modules' in Jomsocial pages are not standard modules (why not, actually?) and do not use standard Joomla classes. So the styling breaks when you switch to a new Joomla template. You have to manually edit the code of every displayed module to fix this.

2. The modules are location dependent. So when I fix the home page 'Latest Groups' and 'Friends' pseudo-modules, I have to fix them again for the Profile page, the Groups page...etc

I am not so impressed with that.

Surely, with the same amount of effort, JomSocial could have been designed as a fully Joomla comforming component.
