Has anyone use (and liked) a CRM component for Joomla? There are a few on JED with CivicCRM being the best but a number of the commercial ones are not on JED and they might fit the bill for my client (which is a NTP college)

Thanks
Ian

I touched Civi a little bit back in the day. Not a huge amount of experience back then. I didn't understand the importance of a CRM.

I've implemented a few instances of SugarCRM as well.

There are also a few bridges between Joomla and Sugar.

I guess give them both a good test run and implement the one that works best for the client but from personal experience I like what I saw in Sugar.

If they can muster up some monthly budget i do highly recommend SalesForce

No real experience to date but am looking at using CiviCRM on a non-profit site in the very near future and would be interested in sharing any lessons learned with it or equivalents.

For an extremely professional CRM suite i would run with salesforce, this is if you are selling some kind of product with a current high turnover.

For just support and basic email marketing i would use one of the CRM system on the JED, like civic or tigercrm.
