Hello!

I'm gradually building my new site - thanks to the lovely Audra for her help - but have a sticking point. On my template is a Welcome to the Front Page line of text. I've used Firebug to identify where it is in the HTML:

<div class="nopad">
<div class="componentheading"> Welcome to the Frontpage</div>

So, I understand that I have to go into my back end, click to edit the HTML for the template and change the 'welcome ...' to whatever text I want for my site BUT: there's no such HTML code or text visible! There's no line of text for me to change. It's got me baffled.

On an up note, I wanted to change my article titles' links to bold and successfullly did that in the CSS (although it's changed all thei links on the site including menus to bold, but I quite like it so it's good).

What I am I missing re the HTML thing?

Hmm for the welcome text - I think - in the back end, go to menu manager - select your menu (the one with the star / default) and then click on home ( or whichever menu link is linking to the front page)

In the parameter tabs on the right, you need to turn this off - I'm pretty sure it is in the bottom parameter system. You can either change the text or switch it off.

When you edit the menu for 'Home', under Parameters (system) you can edit or switch off the page title.
often the page title is empty and it defaults to the menu title, but for the home page the pre-installed joomla demo data is set up to demonstrate this feature.
