Hi, New to the forum and am seeking some assistance. I have a client who runs Joomla and has informed me that when they log-in to the administrator and access an article via Article Manager, they can only see the HTML code in the editor. They have tried accessing from different computers but the same occurs.

I logged-in from my system using the same user name and password and all looks normal to me. The HTML code appears briefly and then changes to what you would expect in the editor screen.

Their site recently had some problems and was throwing up errors which I have resolved - error 500, error 1030 (no. 28). I don't know if this latest problem is left over from these errors?

What could be causing this? Would appreciate any assistance.

Hi there

If you can see WYSIWYG and they can only see HTML, go to User Manager, edit their user and set the editor to the editor you are using. Chances are they have no editor or default editor set.

Alternatively, once in an article, see if they can see an HTML show/hide button and click it. This flips between HTML view and WYSIWYG view.

Hope that helps.

Just spoke with the client again and they have said that it works fine in explorer but Mozilla is the one causing the different view.

Apparently it doesn't show the editor at all just the headings at the top of the article (title, alias, section, published, category) and then blank from there down. They have no editor icons or controls at all.

Has anyone come across this before? Am thinking now browser issue not Joomla. Perhaps they need to upgrade Mozilla?
