Hi im hoping someone can help me.

I have installed joomla via FTP and everything is working fine, except for one critical thing. When i try to access my webpage through my domain it appears with crazydomains article(my host) when i add /Joomla (the name of the install directory) to the domain it appears perfectly and everything works. Im not sure where i have gone wrong and how to fix this any advice or suggestions would be most appriciated.

Hey there Mel,

sounds like you just installed the site in that "joomla" sub folder.

Might be easiest of you reupload all of the files into the root level of your website e.g. one folder up from the "joomla" folder and then you should be able to see the site when you type in your domain name.

Hi Peter, thanks for the advice. I deleted then re uploaded to the root directory and it wont let me access to do the install its just appears with the crazy domains page. Do you think it could be something to do with the host? as the inistructions from them say install under public_html which i did then it wouldnt open correctly and now trying it this way im pretty sure i have the files in the right place no but i still cant get access to install.

Any suggestions?
