Hello,

I would like to use InDesign with a Content Management System such as Joomla. However, the potential problem is due to the fact that InDesign creates links to external resources such as graphics used in an InDesign document. I like the fact that InDesign works with external linked files but, presumably, Joomla would need to know how to access the information about the linked files from inside the InDesign .indd file by reading it when added to Joomla?

I would appreciate hearing from people who have travelled this path and how they came up with getting InDesign documents into Joomla or the like (.e.g. plugins etc).

Regards,

Tony

Hey there Tony,

To get export to another computer you have two options.

1) Export to PDF, but then your obviously loose your editing abilities in the document

2) Choose the PACKAGE option and upload zips of the complete packages, that way people have full access to all the references files in the indd file.

As for components or plugins for displaying InDesign files in Joomla, I don't know of any but someone else may.

Good luck.

Regards,

Peter
