As you might have seen on the community site, we are going to be having a conference for experienced third party developers in New York on December 5 and 6. The conference will really help people understand how to work with Joomla 1.6 and good Joomla development practices in general. We will probably be streaming the event especially since attendance is limited to 100. I was thinking that it might be a nice event for JUGs to have a watch the stream day/night. I think Saturday will be the most important of the two days, but Sunday will be great too.

Let me know if there is interest in this. I'm not sure yet if it is going to just be a general stream or one with limited access via webex or some other system.
