Hi all

I wonder if anyone has any ideas on this. When I create new articles, I copy and paste text from Word (using the button for 'paste for Word' to keep formatting etc (I add hotlinks in Word cos it's easier than doing it all in Joomla).

However while all other formatting is fine ie font, links etc, in SOME cases when I paste from Word, the line spacing doubles when it appears in Joomla. I've no idea why and can't work out why it happens with some articles but not others (of course it's always the long articles!). It takes me quite a while to go through in Joomla and get rid of the extra line spacing as I have to manually do it line by line.

All line spacing is set in Word to single line spacing. I'm not sure if there's anything else I should be doing in Word to prevent this happening, or if it's something to do with Joomla.

It would cut my upload time down dramatically if I could fix this, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

maybe try to paste as plain text instead of paste for word - meaning I'm guessing you are using teh version of JCE with a spearate paste as plain text button (in fact they have now rempved te paste for word button) I'm assuming you a re using jce btw

if I may give suggestions as to create a new post just write it in notepad then copy and paste in the article back end to adjust the spacing and font size can be set on the text icon (AA)
