I am sorry to be a pain but you guys are really helpful.

I bought a template from rockettheme and I went for the Rocket Launcher install option which duplicates the demo site including images etc. I followed the tutorial here: www.rockettheme.com/joomla-tutorials/video-tutorials for the Install Rocket Launcher and when I get to the part to enter the www.yoursite.com I get an error that says - Restricted index access

Not sure what that means. I cannot see the Joomla setup page that I am supposed to.

The tutorial does say that I have to create a database which I did do via mySQL but I should be seeing the Joomla installation page before anything to do with the database.

Any hints or tips on what the issue could be?

Have you checked permission on the files/folders? - all the pain I've had in the past has been hosters who restrict file permissions - much better now I use my own server.

I will have a look into that. Most of the file are 644 they should be 755 right?

Edit: changed all the files in the public_html folder to 755 and it made no difference.

Files are usually 644 and folders 755 but look at ownership too - if you haven't got suPHP (or equivalent) you will have trouble too.

I have tried various ways to install this rocket launcher file from rocket theme and it installs the complete demo template but I am not having any luck.

I have deleted and readded the account but no good. I have FTP's the contents to the publi_html directory and still no good. I then moved the contents via file manager and extracted it via cpanel. I then moved the folders to the publi_html directory and still no good.

I am supposed to put in the url and I am supposed to get a window so i can run a fresh install of Joomla but all I get is "Restricted index access"

Any clues???
