OK, so I finally got time to do a bit of housekeeping on the site (I'm trying to run a conference at the same time - so bit of a delay!) Upgraded site, Kunena, CB and so on and finally (big celebration) got to turn off legacy mode! Phew!!

It's great Dex - thanks - maybe an editor (hmm I know we're still talking editors) for the description section would be nice.

I'd like to be in more than one category - maybe this could be a paid feature. Hmm..

Thx JLJ. I' ve had several people make similar comments, and yes, I will chalk these premium features for addition:
- bigger pix
- multi-category entry
- a WYSIWYG editor description
- maybe a category for the JUG members who dont otherwise qualify?

I have had a further query about the rating system.

Here are my ideas:
At present the ratings are unmoderated. I too would prefer to link them to reviews, which are vetted and cannot be anonymous. I will investigate. Then if I can do this, I will clear ratings to date - there's nothing to stop someone abusing the rating system, so I may turn it off altogether until I find a better solution.

Anyone else got comments on this?

Hi Dex,

Rating systems are OK, particularly if linked to reviews, but the question is "how many reviews can you get a client to write?". I'm getting clients to write Reviews on my Google Maps page now. That way they are visibile on there and I can also lift them and place on my sites, but I can't do it the other way. Google reviews are genuine as people have to have an account to write them. Sure, they can be scammed, but seriously, who would bother.

Thanks yep - I think it's hard to get them to write one, yes. Hm... but in fairness, I think we have to ask? Otherwise what can be done?

Maybe I could also introduce a Linkedin link, as that's already got reviews?

Ok, we've had 50 entries to the directory. I havent had time to approve and publish them all yet. But soon, and then I will re-open entries to you all, don't worry.
