Is it just me, or do a lot of joomla extension developers have a sales process that takes you to lots of different screens whilst never allowing you to actually buy anything? Latest culprit joomlarulez.

That's two failed sites today and two others yesterday.

Various causes of disaster:
- Sign-in process doesn't work - can't stay logged in long enough to purchase
- Reconfirmation email not received to activate account
- Payment process is circular, dumping you back to home page
- Payment accepted but no email received with download link

Does it really have to be that hard?

Hmm, I am currently in the process of abandonning VM and Magento in favour of a new component, potentially Tienda. If anyonw else has a fave to recommend I also will be happy to hear.

Looking forward to hearing more on this topic as I am just starting to get some enquiries into shopping carts and am completely bewildered as to where to start. I am choosing RokQuickCart for a small one to start off with so I'll see how that goes...

I like K2Shop and K2cart but they still have some issues and bugs. They're not flawless but still much better than VM.

Anything is better than VM but unfortunately, I have yet to find anything with its power and flexibility.

It's a bit of the old "devil you know" situation.

Cheers,
