It sounds like there is sufficient interest over there - I know some really keen people - and I reckon you're the man for job.

We can publicise your events and give you a dedicated Perth mailing list. We get a lot of traffic! I can give you your own admin access to publish your articles and also your own forum section - great for getting in touch and also swapping jobs. We've also got a Joomla business directory coming soon.

I publish our stuff on forum.joomla.org too, and also in community.joomla.org on the JUG calendar.

I can also give you a few tips about how to start up a group. It would be great to see a group starting over there.

Sure why not....couple things though. I'm moving house next week so it's going to be crazy until after Christmas.

I also saw in the Joomla Community Area that they require a secondary POC for a user group. That going to be you for now until I can convince someone else over here to help out?
