Hi,
I am putting together a quote for a site that has the requirement that individual users can only update their own pages. I know some of you have been playing around with K2, will it do this?

Many thanks,
Karen.

Hi karen

K2 will do this, but native Joomla also will. When someone logs in to the frontend of the site if they have user group 'author' they will only be able to edit their own articles.
See docs.joomla.org/Access_Control_List

Yeh K2 you don't need to change the access level of the users. If they login to the front end of the website they will be presented with their own content that they have either submitted to the website or have been assigned.

I use it for external content writers to submit content to a website where an admin will edit and approve the content. The submitter and then go back and modify their content.

Unfortunately a resaved submission by a submitter doesn't go back through the approval process again. I seriously think it should.

Thanks Guys,
I'm beginning to think that all I need to do is set up a menu for registered members that contains items to allow them to update their own content, news and image gallery. No need for K2.

Cheers,
Karen.
