Please can someone help me...I am looking for the best search and database input extension/s to download. I want the user to search for a running race using country, city, suburb, address search criteria. If the race exists in the database it will then appear in the search results, but if it does not appear, the user is then able to enter the race details into the databse. What are the best extensions to use for this?

The best one I know of is LQM but you need to know some sql. You can build searches and write back to the DB with this application.

Yes it's now called LFRM I think and has a really good wizard to set up basic queries - some mysql knowledge won't go astray though.

I'd also look at this addon - where you can use some drop downs to search –I think it's kind of neat - You add tags to the articles - eg country city whatever and then these are searchable -extensions.joomla.org/extensions/search-...g/tags-a-clouds/4240 - lot of potential here and easy
