I am having trouble uploading images it keeps telling me unable to upload file and cannot move file. Can anyone help me with this problem.

Try this goto yoursite.com/administrator
login
go to SITE -select GLOBAL CONFIGURATION
click on SYSTEM tab
under MEDIA SETTINGS
where it says ENABLE FLASH UPLOADER
select NO
SAVE

I did that and it said bad response

This may be a problem with yrou permissions / ownership on server. when did it say bad response - when you were trying to disable the flash upload?

Has this been previoulsy working for you?

Are you trying to upload files through media manager?

What version fo joomla are you using?

I've had the same trouble.

I researched and got the same advice as JLJ gave you.

When I followed this advice, it gave me a message that the image wasn't uploaded, but a closer look showed that the image was uploaded.

So I just ignored the error message and went on my way, happy. For some reason unknown, after a few uploads, the message stopped coming (or maybe I've become blind to it). Maybe an upgrade to the latest version helped. Dunno!

Anyway, that's my rather undignified answer. Maybe it will help.
