A bit hard to explain but here goes.

A person looking for a Joomla template finds a site that offers a number of different templates. They then choose a template example to view live. The webiste offers different templates and the viewer is able, by a pull down menu, to choose the template they wish to see and it shows up in the same page.

I guess it is like the viewer having the ability to change the default template in the back end but that is not what they are doing.

In this example, would you have to set a different SQL database for each template or is there another way around this?

I guess the easiest way if to just have thumbnail screen shots of each template and when the user clicks on it, they see a larger image.

Thanks in advance,

John

By the sound of it, you're after a module that lets you choose and switch templates to preview them in the front end?

Version 1.0 had a module to do this, which did not make the transition to 1.5, as it wasn't much use unless you were a template designer.

So instead, try this one as it might do what you're after...
