Hi all,

I've been requested to implement a wiki for a school on their [soon to be] joomla site.
It needs to be simple
and, more importantly,
multiuser capable

1. is there such a plugin/module
2. what has been your experience with wikis [from an admin point of view]

Thanks for your feedback

Hopefully will meet up with some of you Aug 16th onwards at the Mbourne Abit conf.

Hi

I've used PBWiki as a separate entity. Which was fine. I dont find it all that intuitive to build, but it's just your standard WIKI and does the job. Wikis are not intuitive to build, in my meagre experience. They don't seem to stimulate participation that easily either, although WIKIs are intrinsically multi-user.

Not sure what other people's experiences have been, but I haven't found anything very useful as a Joomla Wiki add-on.

Hopefully someone out there has had a bit more joy, and I'd be glad to hear what solution they have used.

thanks for that.

I suppose I should have thought about speccing 'multiuser' a bit more. What I meant was a wiki that can be reused rather than having to install several wiki's on one's host for different purposes.
Or would you just set it up to encompass a broad topic that users can hive off to?
On the whole, I'm more inclined to go blogs.

OK. I think it's your choice of multiple wikis or split wikis.
You could also just use a simple FAQ plugin e.g. extensions.joomla.org/component/option,c...k_id,5554/Itemid,35/
