In particular, YooCarousel. Does anyone use them?

I want to use the YooCarousel to replace RokSlideshow, but before I pay for membership I want to make sure it can (easily) do what I need - which is to present images & text in a slidey thing for a front page.

The Yoo tutorial only shows how to add images to the carousel but it doesn't explain how to get text in and I want to make sure that it's relatively easy to do. I don't want to shell out $70 and then discover it takes just as long to phaff around with as RokSlideshow. The comments have been less than stellar on the Joomla Extensions page and they don't have a "Contact Us" link on their website (how is that even possible?).

So, anyone YooHooers here?
