I'm not a developer but an online publisher with a Joomla site that's nearly finished. My developer is helpful and friendly (and we have a good professional relationship) but he may have reached his capacity of expertise in using Joomla and recommending extensions for the functionality that is required etc. I'm looking for a new developer to work with here in Australia (ideally in Sydney) with extensive Joomla experience, a portfolio of sites and satisfied clients that include VirtueMart, forums, use of Acajoom, WP blogs and solid understanding of good SEO principles. Ideally you would also have built sites that have used ad-serving software. At the moment I am still working on my site with my current developer but I need someone new fairly soon to make some finishing touches, change a few Joomla extensions and work with me in the longer term.
