Hi, I am after a Joomla! professional expert to assist me in the design of my Joomla! website.

I have 'inherited' a website where it has been requested that it's look and feel be majorly upgraded. After discussion with various people, I'm convinced Joomla! is the most practical and useful solution.

I have about 2 years web admin experience, but no design experience. My background is I.T support and a while back I spent about 1 year developing in Visual Basic and SQL. I still consider myself a novice in html and css but am learning fast and making good use of the firefox 'firebug' extension.

I have installed Joomla! over my existing site and have begun to modify the ja_purity template. I have had success in a some modifications but I have a few major areas where I'm stuck...

Firstly, I'm not confident that I can continue to efficiently modify the template without some mentoring.

Secondly, I need advice on Joomla! taxonomy regarding the transfer of data from my existing site to the new Joomla! site. There are many categories and sub-categories to deal with so I'd like some help deciding on the data structure and understanding what is possible.

Thirdly, I have very little design experience and probably need advice as to what areas of technology to concentrate on first.

In a nutshell, I'd like an experts assessment on my areas of knowledge regarding all things web and Joomla! and some advice on which technologies to focus on and help with some short and long term plans for my website.

Please post a bit more detail about what you are after, and you may get a few extra leads. Though you've now got my contact details overnight, I'm unfortunately too busy to take a look into new work at the moment.

Include whether you need it hosted, whether it's just a joomla install for a basic site, template design required, and what types of functionality you're looking at needing - such as ecommerce, community management, newsletters, document management or more.
