Just wondering is anyone has ever installed an advertising banner on a site and how/if they actually work? I am sure that by finding a business that wishes to advertise on your site is one way but you see what looks like random ads but they may not have been secured by the website owner.

How do these work? Has anyone used the banner options and are they worth while doing?

I haven't used the default banners in Joomla but have installed and successfully used iJoomla on www.littlemelbourne.com.au and it is fantastic to use - well worth the money. Gives you click and impression rates as well and lets you manage your advertisers easily.
