Hi All,

I look after a big (well, I think it's big) community/recreation type site. The committee have asked if they could somehow add their "classified ads" to the site and have people add/update their own stuff.

Does anyone have any recommendations for this type of component? Personally, I have visions of ransom note fonts, bad images and worse text, but perhaps I'm just a bit jaded. There's probably a few thousand members but only a small handful (I hope) would be adding ads.

Currently, the ads are in the form of a huge PDF. There are standard "for sales" but also stuff like book exchanges and 'free to good home' type things.

So far I've looked at Adsmanager and Listbingo. Couldn't install Adsmanager and Listbingo seems to need quite a bit of customisation.

Or, thinking outside the box, is there some other kind of component that could do the job that anyone can think of?

I'd be interested in anyone's experience or recommendations.

Thanks
Sue

I use this and its fantastic: adagency.ijoomla.com/. Sounds like its just what you need. Well worth the price.

Thanks Jennifer. I've never seen that component before.

Sadly, I think it might not be totally appropriate for the site (although, it'd be fantastic for a commercial site).

What I'd like is something like EventsList but for knick knacks.

It might be easier just to get the punters to send their "ads" to me and I'll create articles for them, rather than someone create the PDF (which is a monstrosity).
