Got a Joomla problem? Post as much detail about it as you can here to see if you can get a solution.

Where possible, include URL for the site or page having issues, what version of Joomla you're using, what type of server (eg Cpanel, WAMP, IIS), what components may be installed, and specific error messages you're encountering.

If you think your problem is particularly obscure, you might be better posting it to the forums at joomla.org as there's thousands more people to help you.

Hi all,

I've used a few of the YooTheme tools in the past when they were J!1.5 only and yoo-carousel has been quite a handly way of displaying content, however YooThemes have replaced their tools with the WidgetKit and they no longer off the Carousel module in the new WidgetKit lineup.

To be it looks kinda like a tabber/roktabs "clone", if you're not familiar with what it looks like here's it in action (YooThemes have removed it from their site) www.theperformancebusiness.com.au/client-outcomes - as you see the content scrolls in the main panel when a left list item is clicked.

So my question .. anyone know of a suitable replacement for J!1.7 ?

I've had a try of Tabber however it doesn't "scroll" the contents, which is the effect I'm looking for ... ideas/suggestions ??

Always good to answser your own question I find

After much searching I found a module from the folks at Land of Coder (LoF) called Lof ArticlesSlideShow module which when stripped down works like a charm.

It's 1.7 compatable and GPL too. They have some very good extensions both free and paid - have a look at -

www.landofcoder.com/

It raises the thought in my mind about repackaging extensions that more closely do the job you require, rather than customising them each time you use them. Anyone got any thoughts on that and how it might be achieved ?
