This may be a pretty basic question but I'll ask anyway.......

I have signed up with Rochen to host my website but am not quite ready to upload the site yet. I logged in to the console and set up a couple of email addresses and then set them up on my computer as normally done but they don't work.

I thought that once you had a web host the emails would work but am I wrong in thinking that? Do I need to upload even just a home page to enable the emails to work?

With Rochen you can log in to your control panel at www.yourdomain.com/cpanel
Once in there if you go to Email Accounts it will show you the correct settings for the email addresses you have set up.
Once you've got these sorted, they work independently of whether you have a web site loaded.
Rochen support is excellent - ask them if you still have probs.

Thanks for the input. That's how I thought it should work. I did do that but I must have got a setting wrong so I'll try again.
