I am very new in Joomla and in the process of installation.
i have followed the process and got to the last point of the installation
where i need to provide the
host
admin


and finally the database
i am getting the error
"can not access Mysql"
does anyone knows what tings might have gone wrong?

Have you created your DB before install?
Is it on a shared host? If it is then host will be localhost
user will be hostname_the.name.of.your.user and the
Database is hostname_the.name.you.gave.your.DB

Also make sure the user you created has the rights to modify the DB you created.
