Hi all,

Wordpress has a feature that allows you to have their version of an article and you can check the different keywords (or sections) that you want the article to appear in, so that the one article can appear more than once in a website without duplicating the content. Does joomla have a way of achieving this sort of functionality, or is there an extension that can do this?

The example of why I need this would be in relation to an agency that has a band on their books who is both a corporate band and a wedding band. Or a venue band and a corporate band, etc. They want the band to be able to show up when someone clicks on any of the site sections that the band qualifies under.

Cheers,

Anthony.

Hi Anthony

One way is to use something like K2 (getk2.org) for your band content. Then you can add tags and create menu entries listing items by tag. So you can then classify in as many ways as you need. I use this feature myself, and I'm quite impressed with K2. It also searches by tags, and you can add your own item fields and search by those too.

Thanks Dex,

We will be going over K2 at next months meeting in Melbourne, so I will be looking forward to finding out more about the extension.
The online documentation, was rather incomplete. So I have avoided getting on the K2 bandwagon. But it certainly looks promising.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers,

Ant S.
