So, big thanks to Tim for our swishy new venue, right next to central station.

If you were there last night... thanks for coming. I think we'll move upstairs to the board room next time, to make it easier for group discussion. Don't want anyone to miss out...

Excellent presentation from Ian Scott on Artisteer. Any chance you could post your notes here please, Ian?

Peter Bui .. the accessibility people I mentioned are Lisa Harvey and Kim Brebach from energetica.com.au. Good luck with your preso!

Tarny - did you sort out your timeout?

We have an unusual meeting format(!) and neglected to set the next meeting's topic when we start back at our regular meetings on Feb 8th 2011. Since so many people are recently exploring Jomsocial, how's about we start with community software? RSVP

cheers

Thanks all for coming last night. I'll make sure the minor technical hitches are fixed for Feb, and the upstairs boardroom has much better accoustics.
We'll only need to move back down to the showroom if our numbers significantly increase, and if that happens we could use the PA system and pass around a microphone.

Community software / Jomsocial sounds like a good topic for Feb meeting.

regards

Tim

Firstly thanks to Tim for the new great venue.
With regards to my timeout issue I was quite sure after leaving the meeting last night that it would be related to the sh404sef component but after disabling it and testing again the problem persists!

As mentioned to Dex the timeout error does not occur on the JomSocial pages so I am wondering if I have missed putting something in my custom template (which could be likely!)

I've tested on a general development site I have setup which uses the standard rhuk_milkyway template by setting an article to registered with menu link public and everything acts as it should...so it sounds like operator error at my end.

Any thoughts would be appreciated or if anyone does have a few spare minutes to take a look I'll send login details.

Thanks,
Tarny

New update on my timeout issue!

It does appear that the issue is with sh404sef component.
I disabled it again, turned off Joomla SEF urls, changed .htaccess back to htaccess.txt and tried and everything worked fine. So then I turned SEF urls back on, reset .htaccess and all is good. It broke as soon as I enabled sh404sef component again though. I can't work out what the issue is with sh404sef so I am just going to live without it.

Looking forward to the discussion on JomSocial next year. Have just started playing with it myself.

Hey Tarny

sorry for slow reply...You can debug sh404 no need to turn it off.
Maybe delve in there and look at all URLs related to being logged in/out. From memory this would be in sh404 parameters and also in your redirects.
I could take a look later if you cant find the offender, altho maybe also your log file will help.

Hey Dex,

I can't find anything related to the error/redirect pages in sh404sef created urls or in the log file - assume you mean the error logs?
If you do have a little bit of time to look i'll PM you details. I'll need to turn sh404sef back on first.

@Dex, thanks for that Dex, I just stumbled across them the other night when I was looking around.

and JomSocial sounds like a great topic.

I'm just in the process of launching a cancer community website that might be a good demo for the night.

oh yes I also forgot to mention the awesome new venue. not that that old one wasn't great. this new one just looks really cool. and we can fit another 100 people in that room. if we get that big.
