Just a quick post of thanks to Dex and SJUG crew for another top meeting tonight. Although we had no set topic, I thought our adhoc discussions on Joomla (and other topics) were of great interest and I for one look forward to learning more about K2 (thx Ian) and DocMan (thx Tim).

Look forward to Artisteer in November.

I'd like to second that - I have signed up for several book keeping programs and expect to be in the pink ( hope that's the good colour) sufficiently by next meeting to travel in the route with tolls (of course - matching handbag in tow!)

Re Mental Health NSW site most of the work is done and Sandra is very pleased with results. A big thanks from me too on this - you've all done a great job! Only the template (no pressure Peter), slideshow and some paid upgrades to do.

Also discussed last night:

- Picton as a potential venue for the upcoming joomladay in Nov

- LDAP single sign on interface Joomla/Windows (tech details available from Tim Plummer)

- Xero and Freshbooks as bookkeeping/timekeeping/invoicing solutions

- Akeeba extensions - Desktop Mgr, Backup, Admin Tools

- Facebook's inability to work with an IP address for its application API

- iPad's practical uses and limitations e.g. HTML5 re video playing

- K2's uses (in this case, multiple front-end editors of content, workflow)

- reliable sources of pro templates
