Joomla projects: We will be showcasing and discussing three Joomla projects from members. Time for presentation and discussion per project is 30 min. Projects could include a live site - discussing purpose, brief, trouble, success and future directions; or a project in preparation - discussing ideas, workflow and areas for improvement.

We will continue this scheme in meetings to come.

I would like to present the site I manage - www.insideindonesia.org
InsideIndonesia for 24 years was a quarterly print magazine, & for 12 years also a basic 'html' site. Last year we went online only with Joomla after examining other options. The past edition content didn't migrate very well ... there's still a lot of tidying up to do with format & punctuation issues on these older pages. I wish to discuss some issues with the site, security, areas for improvement ... & how best to go about some new additions - either an integral Photo gallery, or bridging to www.smugmug.com/ .

Looking forward to the new meeting format & seeing what other members are doing

so we have two presenters, at least. If we have no more volunteers for this meeting, I am more than happy to discuss my flagship site www.deutscheinmelbourne.net. The site is up for 10 months and we will reach more 1 million visitors in the first year.
As the interest in this site grows so does the need for improvement in areas of:

• content submission
• usability/simplicity
• structure of multi level content
• integration of community builder - fireboard already running
• graphics to touch up/improve layout
• managing ads and banners
• fixing bugs in acajoom - following newsletter links requires authentication

,
and bouncing ideas for general improvement.

By the way, I have three shirts left over from Melbourne JoomlaDay in Feb. Shirts are in black with Joomla logo embroidered on pocket position, plus joomladay and rochen url underneath.
One is a polo in size S, one polo in M and the last one is a regular t-shirt in XXL.
If anybody is interested, I can bring them to the meeting. Costs are $25 per shirt.
