This is our last meeting of the year at our wonderful new venue at Swinburne University.

Chris Higgins with be talking about "Recreating Wordpress features in Joomla" and (if we're lucky) doing a table top tap dance for us.

We'll discuss whether we'll be running a Melbourne Joomladay in late 2012. Come and have your say or join the discussion here.

Then we'll elect a convenor for 2012 (I'll be stepping aside). The normal voting procedure will be followed. All members race for the exit doors, the last person turns off the lights, locks the doors and gets to run the group for the following year.

Unfortunately for all of you, my parole officer has restricted me from any dancing outside of Ringwood, so that section of the presentation has been well and truly scrapped. My apologies.

Anthony and I have spent the last few days working on a presentation that we think will be significantly more appropriate than the 'Wordpress Features In Joomla' topic (which Patric has already covered a lot of anyway). We'll both be attending on Wednesday, and will be presenting a bit of a showcase on how we go about customising the Joomla back end, and the features that we integrate (and disable) in order to make the CMS as user friendly for our clients as possible. This is a system that we're currently integrating into all of our (past and present) client sites, and we've already had some really great feedback regarding our approach. The presentation will include discussion about:

• Our approach to building small business websites
• The reasoning behind our approach
• Our workflow
• Our customised Joomla interface
• How to use K2 to make client updating as easy as possible
