Hi All,

we seem to be having some issues with our category blog layouts in a few of our templates.

if we have the leading article with an image floated to the left. The next article below wont clear properly and instead of sitting underneath the article above it will push up into the article above. It only does this on the article below the leading article. I hope that makes sense?

Even when we set up a class in the article heading that has a "clear:both" it still has no effect.

Our menu is set to
Cat blog layout

1 - leading article
4 - intros
1 - column

Cheers,

Anthony.

*****UPDATE*****
I just noticed that it seems to be a combination of floating an image left and having read more link.... hmmmm?

1. Do you have a URL Anthony?
2. Are all the templates from the same provider?
3. Is this in Joomla articles or are you using K2?

Cheers,

I me it sounds like a K2 site.

Even if it isn't, look at your template and at the end of the article/item block, see if there is anything to clear all floats.

Appears at the bottom of almost all K2 components and modules that will clear floats and extend borders etc around content.

Hi Gents,

sorry for the delay in reply I have been out and about.
thank you for your responses so far.

Okay
Definitely not using K2 on this site at the moment.

I have atached an image of what is happening to the articles.
We have been throwing in some break tags to get around it and have been playing around with different clear: both parameters.
so if you view the link you will see that it displays correctly but this is due to

just above the read more link

see the image for what has been happening when we dont do a work around.

I would definitely think that the clear floats will be the way to go, but its strange why it is happening.

add this to your style sheet

.leading_separator, .intro-article-content{
clear:both;
}

It renders nicely in Google Chrome here without the fixes.
