There's an extension that's not able to be downloaded from it's maker's site anymore called JSAPP. It is an extension that lets you load JomSocial Applications in a Module so they can be positioned anywhere on the site.

Does anyone have a copy of it, as I'm having trouble finding one. Have contacted the developer and am waiting on a reply, but in the meanwhile, it would help to grab a copy asap.

Alternatively, any JomSocial users know how to call an application on its own and load it where applicable in a JomSocial template? Trying to load apps in tabs, but not regular custom field group tabs.

Hey Patrick,

Any chance it is called something else as another app or module etc. We have a full copy of Pro here with all modules and apps and can't see JSAPP listed.

Let me know or give me a call.

Cheers

Shane,

It's a standalone module developed by someone else - I think it's deprecated in regards to being needed for JS 2+, but as the site I need it for is stuck on a JS 1.5, the updated functionality is not available there.

Keen to work out though if the functionality has been incorporated into 2+... what the module does is allows you to select a JS Application, and display it in a Module. So you can then place an Application anywhere on your site - provide it should work.
