Hi All,
I have a couple of sites to do that require decent photo galleries with the ability to sell images online. I would appreciate some discussion on components that you have had experience with.

I have recently used Phoca Gallery on a sporting club site but I don't think it is featured enough and I have found a solution to selling online.

In the past (Joomla 1.0.x) I built a site using Gallery 2 and the bridge component. I can't find if the bridge component have be upgraded to later versions of Joomla!.

Any opinions are greatly appreciated
Thanks

Geoffrey,

Check out fusion...
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/access-...ication-bridges/3723

It bridges to Gallery2 from Joomla, as well as other systems where user management needs to be synced. Haven't used it yet, but have 3 x 1.0 sites where I'll be needing to use it upon upgrading to 1.7, but don't know that there's a 1.7 release yet... New ACL will change how this works considerably.

Also not sure on whether there's any plugins to show gallery 2 items in modules in Joomla, but would be interested on collaborating on building a range of these with you as I certainly think gallery2 is the most feature rich gallery app available.

Thanks Patrick. I have started an installation of 1.7 and Gallery 3.02. Firstly I will look at the jfusion and then maybe we can look at some modules plugins etc.

Hi Geoff,

We just found this template it uses tienda and a bulk import plugin.
We havent actually tried it out yet, but it certainly looks promising.

If you do use it I would be interested to see how you go.

Hi Ant,
I have used a Shape 5 template before. I found it to be very good.
