If you have general Joomla questions, you're better off posting them in the main JoomlaOz discussion area - answers will then come from all over the country! If it's something tricky, consider going to forum.joomla.org for a global response.

Hello everyone!

I need to add an affiliate program to a site with a virtuemart shop. I have not done this before but wonder if anyone has any recommendations for which extension is best.

Globacide Solutions - VM Affiliate, iDevAffiliate and Jafilia seem to be the most talked about but it's not until you get a component install do you know if its going to be good or bad eh.

And a second research question if I may.....(different site to what I need the affiliate for)

I need to create a website in Japanese for a school in Japan (funny about that)! Many years ago I added Japanese kana to an html website which was simple as I just needed to add the extra unicode and just cut and paste the appropriate font. But I don't know about Joomla.....does Joomfish work well? Has anyone had any experience with it or Japanese characters?

I'm hoping to get the Byron Bay JUG back up but so far, it's not looking too good at the moment!

Cheers

Rob

Hey Rob

If there's anything we can do to help out there with getting Byron promoted/off the ground, let me know. We can certainly plug it here. I guess you're all over peoploe.joomla.org and so on?

I have 18 contacts in my email list for Byron Bay.

Hi Dex. I would be very appreciative of Joomla contacts around Byron.
I am not a php guru so it would be wonderful to have someone I can bounce ideas off, whinge about stuff, do the oohs and aahs about what's new.....plus I am so desperate for help...so perhaps someone nearby has a resource that may work. India just ain't working out!
Cheers and thanks
Rob

OK I will email you the list.

Would you consider posting on the Byron forum on here occasionally, in case others are watching? And setting up a Byron group in the community area? At least then if new people chance along it will encourage them to find you.

cheers
