Big thanks to Patrick Jackson from MJUG for his SEO presentation including Google web master tools and lots of tips on squeezing higher rankings. Patrick is (I hope) going to supply here the name of the SEO book he recommended, plus the robots.txt contents to avoid spurious link indexing and speed up Google's visits.

Thanks also to Nicholas for further Google and SEO insights. A mine of information as ever.

Also, I showed a lynda.com video on SEO basics in native Joomla 1.5 and one from alledia.com on setting HTML title tags. Both available on subscription - to get a 20% discount on lynda.com, you need to be a member of THIS site (which is free).

Also I didn't mention seomoz.org, which has some useful resources and tools for SEO (some are free - try the Trifecta).
