I'm the Clinical Librarian for Melbourne Health and based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. We (myself and colleagues) are using Joomla to develop a site that will bring together EBP (evidence-based practice) resources/tools from around Australia under one umbrella. we hope to launch the site in October. The site will be linked to a VLC using Moodle. The Joomla site will include an array of forums for clinical and non-clinical groups, repositories (for clinical evidence) and training resources, and lots more. It's all quite ambitious. We will probably organise to host the site via one of the usual commercial hosting agencies, though this would be only temporary as our intention is to have the site hosted internally (assuming this is approved).
Will attend user group meetings as needed and hope to make the July one (for Melbourne).
My background is in web design, training, information management, education and advertising (quite a mixed bag! ).
