Hi all.
I popped in to the JUG in Melbourne on the 26th, amazed at my luck to find such a thing in my department of the Uni (where I'm an undergrad), exactly when I needed it most.
I'm a web designer plus flat page developer who just got a first contract for a Joomla job, and was looking for a developer to help me out developing a template into a site just that day (talk about lucky!).
Anyway, I'm now attempting a DIY with a few bits of help where necessary. I'm studying Information Systems at Uni, so I know Java, minute amounts of ASP.net, SQL, XML/XSD/XSLT, Database architechture, and some other stuff. I've also learnt W3C XHTML/HTML/CSS, some WPF & C# (fun stuff!), most of the Adobe CS3 suite to varying degrees (video/web/print - worked on projects in all of these fields), and a small amount of JS. I'm getting started on SOAP, VB.net, more ASP.net, more SQL and more JS this semester too.
I have a design portfolio at
www.alirobe.com , and am absolutely happy to help you with design stuff - though I'm usually quite busy with work, uni and web projects.
