Ok so I guess I should introduce myself then... I'm a geek in the 'deeply curious about technology, design, human interaction' kind of way.
I'm the founder of the Sydney Joomla! User Group, which meets the second Tuesday of every month in the CBD. We've been scrunching ourselves in to various crazy meeting spaces since the beginning of January 2007, raving about all sorts of stuff. Come on down if you're near by and share a yarn.
I kickstarted Sydney Joomla!Day in May 2007 and I'm looking forward very much to a bigger and better gathering in May 2008 [to co-incide again with ceBit]. I'm keen for us to cram as much information-sharing and technology learning as we can in to one day [and I'm sure an evening in a bar to follow].
In my work guise, I'm a Joomla! implementor. Bit of an all-rounder, being unable to keep my finger out of any pie. I'm in to graphic design, writing, code-cutting, solving business problems and user training. I tend to hand-write my code - call me old-fashioned. My background is in I.T and commercial/engineering software and database design, but hell, I'm having a lot more fun now!
I'm also geeky in a 'very-enthusiastic' way. I'm passionate about lots of things, from fiddling with web stuff all day, to writing, photography, beach volleyball and all sorts of outdoor adventures.
Yep, that's me all right. What about you?
