In the spirit of good open forums I should introduce myself.
My name is Mike Baber and I administer (in the broadest use of the word) two Joomla web sites.
They are quite fundamental but never the less a good sounding board for my level of experience.

I have had my hand held thus far by the sites original designer but now I find that I need to spend more time developing the site as their needs change, and it is to this end that I made the effort to look for other enthusiasts specializing in Joomla.

My background is in Television and Desk Top publishing but I have managed to move some of these skills into web based work. As a graphic designer I have a broad scope of job satisfaction but as a programmer / web admin. I am left struggling.

During my endeavors over the past couple of weeks whilst working with some db I found that I needed to be able to take data from either a db or even a simple spreadsheet and be able to display it on one of the sites as a formatted pages of information.
I was wondering if anyone might be able to steer me in the direction of such a module?

At present my manual solution is to add the information line by line to the spreadsheet, then take it into Indesign and create a PDF and then take this and add it to the site and then change the links and hopefully, job done!

At any rate, it’s good to have found a user group who I can call on fromm time to time, and also who can call on me if there are any skills I can bring to the table.

Welcome to the forum, Mike. I am sure you will find it a great sounding board while you delve deeper into Joomla.

Maybe the best place for this discussion is in the General Discussion forum, and I am sure others will be able to give a more balanced or complete answer to your question, but one extension that does what I think you want is ChronoConnectivity, an add-in to ChronoForms. I am still learning this myself but my investigation so far suggests it is designed precisely to list multiple rows from a database table.

Yes I though there might be a better place for the post but sneaking it in at the end of the intro seemed worth a shot.

I never seem to have enough time to experiment with Joomla but it will be nice to have some help from time to time form the rest of the community.
