Well what a way to end the year, we all meet at the Kent hotel as normal upstairs, then we headed over to NOK restaurant. We discussed the year and how things were going for people, what was happening with peoples websites and what the group would like to do next year.
We focused in on Email Marketing and presentation of marketing emails.

Well it was a another good night, Peter Bui drove up from Sydney to meet the group, Paul and Bill made it to the meeting we had applogies from several members as work or family interfered with getting to the meeting, hopefully all parties will make the next meeting.
Walter ran through what happened at the Joomla conference and security issues with joomla, tips and ideas on how to resolve these and server issues.

This meeting was a success welcoming one new member Bill, Bill is a soon to be retiring teacher in the Sydney area and has moved into the Hunter to relax. with a strong background in programming and working with Joomla he has decided to joun the Newcastle group and will be a valuable asset.
We also had a Guest being Daniel, who is interested in Joomla and is looking at joining the group when he can.
We were asked to run through different modules, components, and plugin's that we liked.

This meeting was a success welcoming two new members, Karen and Sharron they both have websites developed in Joomla 1.5.x and are wanting to learn more about how to maintain and run the sites. Their goal is to learn from the group as well as being introduced to developers who can help and be engaged to carry out services if required.
The meeting itself discussed options for templates, generators and the importance of SEO at the development stage of a sites development.
This Meeting was postponed as the the I has a back injury and was unable to host the meeting.
